HUDSON, Wis. -- A man accused of charging three women with his car after an altercation over his driving could lead to criminal charges.
Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen said the man, his girlfriend and two other women were leaving a liquor store when an argument about the man’s driving broke out. As the vehicle went onto an Interstate 94 ramp, he stopped and ordered them out of the car, leaving them on the side of the freeway.
The women claimed that minutes later, the man came back onto the ramp and charged them with his car. He jumped out of the vehicle and pursued the women as they scrambled away and ran into bushes alongside the highway, Jensen said.
The man sped off westbound on I-94 but was arrested by the Minnesota State Patrol as he tried to push his disabled vehicle off the roadway at White Bear Avenue.
The case has been referred to the St. Croix County District Attorney’s Office.
