Julius Christianson, 95, died April 3, 2014 at his home in Helena, Mont. He was born on Oct. 10, 1918, on the family homestead west of Wolf Point. He worked for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroad for 42 years and served in the China-Burma-India "Secret War" during World War II.
Julius was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Schwinden, and daughter and son-in-law Carmen and Ray Paulsen (Superior).
He is survived by his wife, Carmen; sons James (Irene) Christianson of Great Fall, Mont. and Denis (Grace) Christianson of Gillette, Wyo., and daughter Ingrid (Don) Childress of Helena, Mont.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
