Jeanette L. Albertus, 74, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 20, 1939, in Park Falls, Wis. to Kenneth and Loetta (Cain) Baldwin.

She married Roy (Ed) Albertus on June 12, 1960, and had celebrated 39 years of marriage before his passing in 1999.

She graduated from Mason City High School in Iowa and went on to receive her associates degree in accounting from Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Jeanette had been employed as a clerk at Woolworths in Ashland and later, as a secretary for the United States Forestry Department.

She attended Faith United Methodist Church in Superior.

She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, reading, traveling, playing bingo, and the occasional visit to the casino.

Jeanette is survived by three daughters, Deborah Albertus of Merril, Wis., Tandy (Dan) Otto of Ashland, Wis., and LoAnn Johnson of Washburn, Wis.; two sons, Eddie (Michelle) Albertus and Hank Albertus, both of Ashland; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Pope, Osage, Iowa and Geraldine Welch, Kearney, Mo. and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents; one brother, Kenneth (Butch) Baldwin; a niece, Kathleen Hamilton, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Superior with visitation starting at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 21, with Rev. Joel Certa-Werner officiating
