Representatives of the company have held more than 30 meetings, spoken with over 100 citizens, and traveled to many towns throughout the area such as Hurley, Mercer, and Glidden to keep the people of the Northwoods current on developments concerning the project.
“The more communities we visit, the better response we receive,” said Bob Seitz, spokesman for Gogebic Taconite. “We appreciate the opportunity to speak with concerned citizens and look forward to another chance to discuss the project and its potential for the community.”
The individualized format will continue in order to provide personalized attention for concerned citizens who may be uncomfortable with the public hearing format.
