George Michael charged with drug, driving offenses
LONDON (AP) -- British police say singer George Michael has been charged with drugs and driving offenses after his car crashed into a building in an upscale residential area.
London's Metropolitan Police department said Michael, 47, was charged on Thursday with possession of cannabis and with driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
In a statement, police say Michael will appear at London's Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on Aug. 24.
