Frank O. Pearson
Frank O. Pearson, 73, passed away Tuesday Feb. 4, 2014, near his home in Louisiana.
Frank was born March 27, 1940, in Bemidji, Minn., to Frank and Helen Pearson. He was raised in Superior and joined the Marine Corps in 1957 where he proudly served until 1961. As he liked to say, "Once a Marine, always a Marine".
After the Marine Corps, Frank developed a career in Chemical Engineering and travelled the world working for companies that specialized in urethane and industrial coatings. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family members in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. He retired to Louisiana in 2005, where he and his beloved wife of 30 years Beverly built their dream retirement home on Toledo Bend Reservoir.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Helen, his sister Barbara Wisnieski, and his wife Beverly.
He is survived by his sons, Scott Pearson of Iron River, Mich., Brandon Pearson of Florissant, Mo., Lon Gruben of Duluth, Jay Gruben of Tustin, Calif., and Lee Gruben of Duluth; his brothers, Don Ewing of Reston, Wash., John Pearson of Solon Springs, and Ray Pearson of Barnes; his sister, Ethel Arndt of Milwaukee, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
