Former Lake Nebagamon police chief honored for military service
A flag is raised over the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center in honor of a military retiree who served as Chief of Police in Lake Nebagamon.
Charles Douglas Miller was born Dec. 28, 1947, in southern Wisconsin, and enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1966. After completing basic training at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri, he was assigned to Fort Rucker in Alabama before a tour in Germany in 1967.
