Engineer training set for railroad volunteers
The LS&M classroom training for new engineers and conductors runs 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 6-7 in the Superior Public Library small meeting room, 1530 Tower Ave.
The topics for May 6 include LS&M Timetable and General Code of Operating Rules.
On May 7, Air Brake & Train Handling is covered.
After the completion of classroom training, would-be engineer and conductors may begin on the job training. This is your opportunity to begin the process to become a tourist railroad engineer or conductor.
There are a number of other volunteer positions available from ticket agent to car host to track worker.
