Emmys scorecard: HBO leads networks, 'Sherlock' tops programs

LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) - HBO towered over the competition with a leading 99 Emmy nominations this year, so it's little surprise that the premium cabler came out on top in networks when all 122 awards are taken into account.

For shows, "Sherlock" leads the pack with seven awards (including several surprise wins at the primetime show), bringing PBS to tie with CBS, both coming in at 11 awards.
