‘Discover Wisconsin’ turns lens on Wisconsin Point
Wisconsin Point is showcased in an upcoming episode of “Discover Wisconsin,” the nation’s longest-running tourism TV show. Premiering this weekend, “We’re Thinking Beaches,” highlights eight beaches statewide. The episode was produced in partnership with the city of Superior and Wisconsin Coastal Management Program. Wisconsin Point, which is part of the longest freshwater spit in the world, includes nearly four miles of beach access and a working historic lighthouse.
“Wisconsin Point is a very natural area with no development,” said Mary Morgan, director of parks, recreation and forestry for the city of Superior, “We think ‘Discover Wisconsin’ did a great job of promoting the experience you can have when you visit our beautiful area.”
The program airs at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on WDIO-TV Channel 10.
