Deputies union supports Dalbec
The Douglas County Deputy Sheriff’s Association, Local 41 of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association would like to declare its support for Tom Dalbec in his bid for re-election as sheriff of Douglas County.
The Douglas County Deputy Sheriff’s Association, which includes all patrol deputies, detectives, courthouse security and sergeants, recently had the opportunity to meet and hear from all three candidates running for sheriff of Douglas County. A meeting of the union was held July 17, and the membership voted to endorse Dalbec for re-election.
The Douglas County Deputy Sheriff’s Association believes Dalbec has led the department in the right direction during his time as sheriff. He has provided deputies with the training, equipment and leadership needed to effectively carry out their duties for the citizens of Douglas County. The Association believes that Dalbec is the most qualified candidate and is the best choice to lead the department over the next four years.
The Association also voted to create the Douglas County Sheriff’s Association Political Action Committee. This PAC will allow the association to better support candidates it endorses now and in the future.
