Superior: An opening reception for Erik Pearson’s art show, “Where the Shadows Play,” takes place 5-7 p.m. in the Red Mug Coffeehouse, 916 Hammond Ave. Pearson’s art is on display at the business through June 30.


Danbury: Cozy Corner Trails Inc., and Turf & Tundra ATV Club sponsor a ride for “Free Wheelin’ Weekend.” Anyone interested in riding should be at the trailhead parking lot north of Fishbowl Bar on State Highways 35 and 77, ready to ride at 10:30 a.m. Participants determine the route and length of the ride. Machines do not need to be registered in Wisconsin to ride for the ride. Nonresident ATV/UTV owners do not need a trail pass for these days. Bayfield: Visitors have a chance to get up close and personal with the plants at some of Bayfield’s finest gardens during the Bayfield’s Gardens Walking Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Homeowners and gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. Duluth: Lutherans for Life, a gospel-oriented group of individuals and representatives from various Lutheran churches supporting the sanctity of life, meets at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 2415 Ensign St.

Hermantown: Superior Singers performs “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If you ain’t got that Swing) under the direction of Brian MacDonnell at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. They also perform at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Mariner Mall in Superior. Free. Call 218-348-8314.


Ashland: NWWIB Inc. and CEP Inc. executive committee meets at 10 a.m. and the joint conference committee meets in closed session at noon at the CEP Office, 422 Third St. W.

Superior: The Superior Area Retired Educators’ Association meets at noon at Vintage Italian Pizza. Superior: A Ruby’s Pantry food distribution takes place at Zion Lutheran Church, 2022 E. Second St. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with distribution starting about 5 p.m. For a $20 donation, people receive a large amount of food. Bring bags, boxes or baskets to carry it.

South Range: John L. & David L. Banks American Legion Post 418 meets at 7 p.m. at the old Bud’s Sunnyside Bar on County Highway C. All interested veterans invited to attend.

Bennett: The Bennett Town Board meets at 7 p.m. to review invoices and 7:30 p.m. for its regular meeting in the town hall.


Superior: The Superior WOW Club meets at 12:30 p.m. at the Upper Deck.
