Monday

Superior: Community Care of Central Wisconsin, the new managed care organization handling long-term care in Douglas County and 10 other counties in northwestern Wisconsin, is holding a forum for discussion 6-8:30 p.m. at the Superior Public Library.

Iron River: The Tri-County Recreational Corridor commission will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m. at the Iron River Community Center.

Tuesday

Superior: A Cancer Prayer Support Group will meet from 2-3 p.m. at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 S. Darrow Road. Current cancer patients, those in remission, and their caregivers are encouraged to attend. This faith-filled meeting is open to all members of the surrounding community, regardless of church affiliation. Any questions, call 715 399-8885.

Wednesday

Superior: A Children’s Immunization Clinic will be held from 1–4:30 p.m. in the Government Center building at 1316 N 14th St., Suite 324. All routine immunizations for children 6 months and older will be available. Please bring your immunization records with you. Vaccines are given free to children who don’t have health insurance, are on Medical Assistance, or whose insurance doesn’t cover vaccines. A parent or guardian must be present to sign the authorization.

Thursday

Superior: The Thaddeus Kosciuszko Society (Polish Club) meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 1710 N. 12th St.

Duluth: Commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Alder LCDR Tony Maffia will discuss the Coast Guard’s role in this ever-changing and challenging ice season during a free program offered by the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association, The presentation, “The Alder and the Ice,” begins at 7 p.m. in the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center, 600 S. Lake Ave. Free and open to the public.
