Twin Cities gets socked early by winter storm

Northwoods Harness Club’s hosts its 28th annual Sleigh and Cutter Rally, Jan. 11 at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor’s Center near Ashland. Hook-up is at 11 a.m., Equine divisions will be judged, starting with youth drivers followed by cutters, sleighs and bobsleds drawn by horses of different breeds and hitches. Duluth: Bound Redux is an exploration in the art form that is rope bondage, or Shibari. An opening reception for Bound by Justin Sinks begins at 6 p.m. at the Duluth Photography Institute. The exhibit runs through the end of January. Free. Be advised this exhibit may contain content that may be offensive and is intended for mature audiences.

Superior: A Children’s Immunization Clinic runs 1–4:30 p.m. in the Government Center, 1316 N 14th St., Suite 324. All routine immunizations for children 6 months and older will be available. Bring your immunization records. Vaccines are free to children who don’t have health insurance, receive Medical Assistance, or whose insurance doesn’t cover vaccines. A parent or guardian must be present authorize the vaccine.

Duluth: The local Proctor Duluth Iron Range Superior Unit 92 of the National Association of Retired &Veteran Railway Employees meets at 1 p.m. at the West Duluth American Legion club rooms.
