Carlson returns to Superior practice
Carlson Orthodontics returned to Superior.
The business opened its new office at 3701 Tower Ave. last month, but orthodontist Chris Carlson is no newcomer.
He had an office in Superior from 2004 to 2008 at the Board of Trade building, but closed it because the space was difficult to work with as a dental office.
"The intent was always to go back to Superior once we found the right spot," Carlson said. Along with the Superior site, Carlson Orthodontics has offices in Duluth and Cloquet.
The new office is housed in the former Community Bank. It provides a more convenient location for Superior patients who no longer have to cross the bridge for care, Carlson said.
The state-of-the-art office includes a coffee bar for adults and iPads for patients to play with while they wait. And everything can be done in the Superior office, from consultation to adjustments. That was not the case with the former Board of Trade site.
Both Carlson and orthodontist Tom Shannon are now seeing patients in Superior.
The new office is open one day a week, but has already generated a buzz.
"We've had great feedback," Carlson said.
