‘Best of the Least’ Tournament is this weekend at South Shore
The third annual “Best with the Least” basketball tournament will be held this weekend at South Shore High School in Port Wing.
The tournament features the four smallest (least amount of students enrolled in high school) public school basketball teams in the state squaring off for an unofficial “state championship.”
Both boys teams and girls teams will be competing, including Mercer High School, with an enrollment of 30, Phelps (29), South Shore (46), and Butternut (53).
Semifinal games begin at 1 p.m. today. A traveling trophy will be presented to the winning teams.
