Bergstrom, Schuster chosen as Youth Optimists

Britta Bergstrom and Tailor Schuster, juniors at Superior High School, were selected as the Superior Optimist Club Youth Optimists for May.

Britta Bergstrom participates in SHS softball, basketball, swimming and school newspaper, and plays basketball in the Friday Night Hoops league. She is a member of the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership program, and volunteers at Damiano Soup Kitchen, for Boo at the Zoo, at her church and as captain of the swim team. Britta is the daughter of Shelly and Bill Bergstrom.

Tailor Schuster participates in SHS basketball, softball, Pledgemakers, student council and Interact. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership program. She volunteers at the Salvation Army food shelf, Superior Life Care Center, for her church youth group as a student leader, and at the Chamber of Commerce. Tailor is the daughter of Melissa and Kyle Schuster.

The students have been joining the Optimist Club for weekly luncheon meetings. They will have the opportunity next fall to apply for a $1,000 service award sponsored by the club.
