Morgen Moen earns Eagle Scout Award
son of Dawn and Guy Moen, received his Eagle Scout award during a Court of Honor held Jan. 17 at Con-cordia Lutheran Church, Superior.
Morgen, 18, began scouting in first grade as a Tiger Cub scout with Pack 204 at Cathedral School. After receiving his Arrow of Light, he joined Boy Scout Troop 204 sponsored by Cathedral of Christ the King.
While a member of Troop 204, Morgen held the positions of patrol leader and chaplain’s aid, and advanced to the rank of Life Scout. In 2012, he joined Troop 213, and held the positions of patrol leader and assistant senior patrol leader. He has earned 34 merit badges.
His Eagle Scout project involved removing an invasive species, Japanese knotweed, from the Billings Park boat landing.
Morgen is a graduate of Superior High School and is enrolled at University of Minnesota Duluth where he is majoring in civil engineering.
