Superior offers wild card competitors at state mock trial competition
Superior High School sent three mock trial teams to the regional tournament Feb. 7-9. One team will advance to state competition and a number of students received individual awards.
Makayla Guski and Autumn Bass received Regional Outstanding Attorney Awards and Sam Dotterwick received an outstanding Witness Award at the competition.
The school’s Team Three finished sixth; Team Two finished ninth and Team One finished second. There are 11 regions in the state, and each first-place team in each region advanced to the state tournament. However, of the 11 second place teams in each region, they had three wild card spots that were randomly drawn. Superior High School’s Team One was selected as a wild card team and will be competing in the state tournament March 8-10.
The coaches said they were very proud of all the students who competed and excited to compete at the state tournament.
