Senior nutrition

Senior Connections offers hot, nutritious meals Monday-Friday for people 60 or older. Meals are delivered to homebound individuals and served at congregate sites in Douglas County. A $4 per meal contribution is requested, but no one is denied because of inability to pay. 

Next week’s menu:

Aug. 4: Quiche Lorraine, cheesy hash browns, broccoli, muffin, banana.

Aug. 5: Chicken patty, bun, tomato and lettuce, corn, Tator Tots, watermelon.

Aug. 6: Home delivery only, roast turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, wheat dinner roll, applesauce.

Aug. 7: Ham salad on bun, cheese slice, carrot raisin salad, tomato basil soup, fruit crisp.

Aug. 8: Stuffed cheese tortellini with marinara sauce spinach, bread stick, chocolate pudding.
