Senior nutrition

Senior Connections offers hot, nutritious meals Monday-Friday for people 60 or older. Meals are delivered to homebound individuals and are served at congregate sites in Douglas County. A $3.50 contribution is requested per meal but no one is denied because of inability to pay. Call 715-394-3611 or 800-870-2181. Next week’s menu includes:

Feb. 10: Beef rigatoni, tossed salad, yellow wax, beans, bread stick, peanut butter cookie.

Feb. 11: Hot roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, beets, wheat bread, pears.

Feb. 12: Pepper steak with mushrooms and onions, brown rice, broccoli, wheat roll, banana muffin.

Feb. 13: Roasted pork loin, mashed potatoes, gravy, stewed tomatoes, wheat bread, fruit crisp.

Feb. 14: Baked fish, Au Gratin potatoes, carrot coins, wheat roll, white Jell-O cake.
