Senior nutrition

Senior Connections offers hot, nutritious meals Monday-Friday for people 60 or older. Meals are delivered to homebound individuals and are served at congregate sites in Douglas County. A $3.50 contribution is requested per meal but no one is denied because of inability to pay. Call 715-394-3611 or 800-870-2181. Next week's menu includes:

Oct. 28: Hot dog, whole wheat bun, coleslaw, baked beans, fruit.

Oct. 29: Salisbury steak with gravy, seasoned noodles, creamed corn, wheat bread, mandarin oranges.

Oct. 30: Chicken shepherd's pie, wheat roll, pumpkin cake.

Oct. 31: Lasagna, tossed salad, dressing, cauliflower, garlic bread stick, brownie.

Nov. 1: Chicken salad sandwich, vegetable soup, wheat bread, marinated beets, cookie.
