Take a birding trip to Jay Cooke
Join guides Kris Hiller and Clinton Neinhaus for “Birding at Jay Cooke State Park” May 30. Participants meet at 6:45 a.m. at the park’s visitor center. Birding begins at 7 a.m. and wraps up at about 9:30 a.m.
This Duluth Audubon Society field trip takes place rain or shine, so participants should dress for the weather.
The event is free and open to all, but a day pass is required to enter the park. A day pass is $5 or an annual pass can be purchased for $25 at the visitor center.
Birders are asked to use the west park entrance off State Highway 210 as the east entrance off Highway 23 in Fond du Lac is still closed and Jay Cooke Road area remains soft due to construction.
