Superior: A workshop for job seekers age 40 and older runs 9-11 a.m. at the Job Center, 1805 N. 14th St., Suite 2. Free.

Superior: Acacia-Itasca Masonic Lodge 329 F8AM of Wisconsin meets at 7 p.m. at 3117 N. 21st St.


Ashland: The Northern Waters Library Service Board of Trustees meets at 10 a.m. at the NWLS Headquarters.


Superior: Help support the Nutrition on Weekends program with a silent auction and raffle. There will be free appetizers and punch during the event that runs 2-5 p.m. in the Barker’s Island Inn Ballroom.


Solon Springs: The Solon Springs School Board meets at 6 p.m. in the IMC at the school, 8993 E. Baldwin Ave.


Superior: The Superior Job Center hosts a workshop on computer basics beginning at 9 a.m. at the job center, 1805 N. 14th St. Suite 1. Participants will learn terminology, how to navigate the internet and some Microsoft Word basics. Although the workshop is free, registration is required. Sign up at the job center front desk.

Superior: Enbridge Energy on the second floor of City Center, 1409 Hammond Ave., hosts a blood drive 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Memorial Blood Centers.

Solon Springs: Join licensed Affordable Care Act navigators from CEP Inc. to learn more about the Health Insurance Marketplace, a new way to find health care coverage that fits your budget and meets your needs. Whether you’re uninsured or just want to explore your options, the marketplace will help find coverage that’s right for you. The navigators will be at the Solon Springs Community Center, 11523 S. Business Highway 53, at 1 p.m.

Duluth: Pharmacist Dr. Megan Undeberg will speak at Mended Hearts support group meeting at 7 p.m. at Essentia Health/SMDC, 407 E. Third St., in the Wisconsin Room on the first floor near the Northern Lights Cafe. Free.


Solon Springs: Memorial Blood Centers hosts a blood drive 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Solon Springs High School, 8993 E. Baldwin Ave.

Maple: UW-Cooperative Extension, Douglas County presents, “Adapting Your Farming to Climate Change” at 7 p.m. in Northwestern High School. Free. Call 715-395-1515 with questions.


Superior: The Superior Central High School class of 1957 holds a luncheon get-together at noon at Shorty’s Pizza and Smoked Meats, 1015 Tower Ave. Classmates, spouses, and guests invited.

Superior: Chapter E PEO meets at Carol Baker’s home at 7 p.m. The program will be the ceremony of initiation. Hostesses are Nancy Holmes and Roberta Lindemann.
