The Merry Little Christmas Book Sales sponsored by the Friends of the Superior Public Library continues Wednesday in the area of the library just beyond the computers.

Sale hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"Our past sales have been welcomed by the public, and we are pleased to offer this unique shopping experience again for holiday shopper," said Maggie Bare, Friends of the Library President.

The Merry Little Christmas Book Sales will continue at the library Dec. 4, Dec. 11, and Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Shoppers will find gently used fiction and nonfiction, children's books, and a variety of craft, special interest, and cook books that are reasonably priced. Mugs featuring the old Carnegie Library will also be available. New this year is a set of three magnets featuring the Beacon Theatre, Central High School and the old Carnegie Library. Members of the Friends staff the sale and can answer questions and offer suggestions as shoppers browse through the books. As an added bonus, purchases will be gift-wrapped for free.

Proceeds from the Merry Little Christmas Book Sales are donated to the library to purchase materials for circulation and specific items needed for the library, and supports the Summer Reading Program for children and youth.
