Foxboro: The Superior School Forest and Superior High School Drama Department host the sixth annual Superior School Forest Fall Fair 4:30-7:30 p.m. at 2155 E. School Forest Road. Free activities include a flashlight forest walk, science experiments, storytelling, live music, a coloring contest and bonfire. Tickets sold for activities include that face painting, a book walk and games. Concessions and baked goods available for sale, including Bayfield apples, apple cider and applesauce.


South Range: The annual Parkland Craft and Vendor Expo runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Parkland Town Hall on County Highway K. Parkland Community Group sponsors the event and proceeds will be used for playground equipment, a children's Halloween party and other community activities. Free.

Duluth: The Head O' The Lakes Chapter Military Officers Association of America meets for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Pickwick Restaurant, 508 E. Superior St. Gary Black, regional sales director for Cirrus Aircraft, is the guest speaker. Black was one of the test pilots responsible for the flight testing and certification of the Cirrus SR20 and SR22. All active duty, retired and former military officers are welcome to attend. Superior: The Superior Area Retired Educators' Association meets at noon at the Vintage Italian Pizza. Committee members are Gert Persons, Bonnie McCreary, Linda Delegan, Barb Durst and Eileen Olson. Sue Heskin, director of the Superior Public Library, talks about the upcoming remodeling plan for the library. Bennett: The Bennett Town Board holds its 2018 budget meeting at 7 p.m. in the Bennett Town Hall, 9215 E. County Road L. Immediately following, a special town meeting of the electors is held. The regular board meeting follows both.


Superior: Learn more about Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College programs beginning at 9 a.m., then network with other job seekers during Job Club, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at the Superior Job Center, 1805 N. 14th St.

Superior: The Bong Book Club meets at 2 p.m. at the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center, 305 Harbor View Parkway. This month, discussions center on the book "Target Tokyo: Jimmy Doolittle and the Raid that Avenged Pearl Harbor" by James M. Scott. The public is welcome to attend.
