Duluth: The University of Minnesota Duluth Senior High School Band Festival begins with an honor band guest artist concert at 7 p.m. today in Weber Music Hall. The concert band and symphonic wind ensemble performs at 4 p.m. Saturday in Marshall Performing Arts Center. Free.

Superior: Barker's Island Farmers Market runs 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot adjacent to the Superior Festival Park and SS Meteor.

Oulu: The fourth annual Oulu Fest and Raffle runs noon to 4 p.m. at the Oulu Heritage Center, 71055 Muskeg Road. Activities include demonstrations, kids' games, tours of historic buildings, music, ethnic foods, concessions, silent auction, raffle and 50/50 drawing. Free will donations accepted.

Bennett: The Bennett Town Board meets for a special budget workshop at 6 p.m. in the town hall.

Superior: Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College's career specialist shares information about WITC programs, admissions, flexible learning options and more 9-10 a.m. at the Superior Job Center, 1805 N. 14th St. Network with other job seekers during Job Club at 9:30 a.m. The center hosts a free real career workshop at 10:30 a.m.

Ashland: Northwest Wisconsin Workforce Investment Board Strategic Direction & Development Committee meets at 10 a.m. and the One Stop Operator Committee meets at 1 p.m. at 422 W. Third St., Suite 200.

Superior: The Clef Music Club and the Friends of the Library are co-sponsoring a music concert to be held at 6 p.m. at the Superior Public Library. University of Wisconsin-Superior student Maria Puglisi, a soprano vocalist who studies with Vicky Fingalson, presents the program. Puglisi is this year's winner of the Clef Music Scholarship.
