Superior: Holy Assumption Church, 5601 Tower Ave., hosts a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Saturday. This is a free will offering event with proceeds benefitting the church's sister parish in Tanzania, East Africa. Community support has helped hundreds of people in the village of Kisa with clean water, medical education and meeting orphans needs.

Duluth: Judge LaJune Lange, founder of the LaJune Thomas Lange International Leadership Institute and honorary consul for South Africa, hosts a series of discussions this weekend. Today, she talks about Duluth's role in increasing and strengthening cultural understanding at home, and fostering international economic and trade opportunities 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Kathryn Martin Library at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Saturday, the discussion is about equitable participation of women in politics and economic development 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Building for Women, 32 E. First St., and Sunday she talks about the challenges for Native and African American youth in the Minnesota criminal justice system 2-3:30 p.m. at A.M.E. Church, 530 N. Fifth Ave. E. All programs are free.


Superior: Barker's Island Farmers Market runs 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot adjacent to the Superior Festival Park and SS Meteor.

Superior: Superior Rehabilitation Center, 1800 New York Ave., hosts its first Fall Harvest Festival and Craft Show 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the whole family. The festival features music, fall-themed games, a fall photo booth, a bounce house for the kids, food and a craft show with more than 22 vendors. The outdoor event will be held rain or shine.


Superior: The Belknap Street reconstruction contractors meeting begins at 1 p.m. in the conference room of the Superior Business Improvement District, lower level of the Blaine Business Center, 823 Belknap St.


Superior: Network with other job seekers at 9:30 a.m. during Job Club at the Superior Job Center, 1805 N. 14th St. The center hosts a real career workshop at 10:30 a.m. Free.

Superior: A Red Cross blood drive runs from noon to 6 p.m. at Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 N. 16th St.

Duluth: Zeitgeist presents the Zenith City Cabaret at 8 p.m. in the Zeitgeist Atrium, 222 E. Superior St. Free.
