Students put geography to the test
The Superior Middle School presents the fourth annual Geography Bee and Geographic Literacy Night 4-7 p.m. Thursday.
The social studies department hosts the event. Middle school students participate in a classroom and grade level bee in each wing. Nine students from each wing will then have the opportunity to advance to the school-wide Geography Bee. One winner and alternate will be decided to take a qualifying exam to determine advancement eligibility for the state competition. State competition winners will have the opportunity to advance to the national bee. More information can be found at nationalgeographic.org/bee.
The evening includes geography games and activities and a break for pizza and refreshments.
All students are invited to attend Geographic Literacy night, but must be accompanied by an adult.
