Students put geography to the test

The Superior Middle School presents the fourth annual Geography Bee and Geographic Literacy Night 4-7 p.m. Thursday.

The social studies department hosts the event. Middle school students participate in a classroom and grade level bee in each wing. Nine students from each wing will then have the opportunity to advance to the school-wide Geography Bee. One winner and alternate will be decided to take a qualifying exam to determine advancement eligibility for the state competition. State competition winners will have the opportunity to advance to the national bee. More information can be found at

The evening includes geography games and activities and a break for pizza and refreshments.
