Superior: UCare hosts a health plan information meeting for seniors at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital Community Room, 3500 Tower Ave.

Duluth: Love Justice presents “Fighting Sex Trafficking, Standing with Survivors, and Creating Hope,” the second annual event to coincide with the greater Duluth communities’ recognition of January as National Slavery and Trafficking Prevention/Awareness Month. The program runs 6-10 p.m. at Duluth Vineyard Church, 1533 W. Arrowhead Road.


Superior: UWS student/alumni art at North End Arts Gallery open reception runs1-3 p.m. in the Gallery. Potluck chili and fixings. Free.


Superior: The Job Club, a job seeker support group, meets for a workshop on “Social Media and Job Search” 9-11 a.m. at the Job Center, 1805 N. 14th St., Suite 1. Free.

Superior: Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital Superior Auxiliary meets at 10 a.m. in the Conference Room at the hospital. All committee chairpersons should turn in reports for the winter newsletter. Plans for the coming year will be discussed. All volunteers are welcome to attend.

Duluth: Rachel Lloyd, a nationally recognized expert on the issue of child sex trafficking in the United States, speaks about local needs and solutions to underage sex trafficking in the Twin Ports at 7 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium at the College of St. Scholastica.
