Equity Livestock honored for 4-H support
The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation announced that Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association, headquartered in Baraboo, Wisconsin, was honored as a major partner and contributor at the 2017 Wisconsin 4-H Hall of Fame Gala.
"We are truly grateful for the support of continued generous partners, like Equity Livestock," said Brenda Scheider, executive director for the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation. "Our partners help 4‑H create cutting-edge, relevant programs for young people to learn real-world skills that will prepare them for the challenges of today and tomorrow, moving communities, the state, our county and the world forward in ways no other youth organization can."
Since 1914, Wisconsin 4-H has helped young people develop the skills they need to meet the demands of our complex and ever-changing world. It has grown from a rich history of agricultural clubs to today's 4-H, that proudly boasts strong programs in agriculture and animal science and has grown to include science, leadership, healthy living and communications programming.
"Equity Livestock recognizes the dynamic role agriculture plays in our economy," said Chuck Adami, president and CEO of Equity Livestock. "Our contributions support our investment in the future of the livestock industry."
Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association was established in 1922 to aid producers in the marketing, managing and financing of their agricultural businesses.
