Superior's Epic Restaurant and Lounge will close after dinner Saturday.
The business posted Monday on its Facebook page that it will be shutting its doors to regular dining business Saturday, citing business and personal reasons. General manager Shelley Torvinen confirmed that the business is closing, but declined to comment further.
According to the Facebook post, Epic will reopen for a final "Hurrah" New Year's Eve. The event will feature a smorgasbord buffet and requires reservations at (715) 718-5677, ext. 1.
Co-owners Mark Casper, Kyle Torvinen and Joe Hear renovated the former Joe's Pagoda building, 3223 Tower Ave., into Epic Restaurant and Lounge. The eatery opened to diners on May 16, 2016. It offered a lower level banquet facility as well as the restaurant and lounge on the main floor.
When contacted Monday, Casper deferred questions on the decision to Kyle Torvinen, a Superior attorney. A call to his office had not been returned as of press time.
